Certified Translation

Whether it’s a diploma, certificate, or official attestation, official documents often require a certified translation to be recognised by institutions, authorities, and government offices.

As a sworn translator, I provide publicly recognised certified translations of certificates, diplomas, and other documents required by authorities, courts, or universities. Certified translations—also referred to as authenticated translations—ensure legal and official acceptance. I currently offer certified translations exclusively for the language pair English ⇄ German, covering the following types of official documents:

  • Birth and Death Certificates

  • Marriage Certificates

  • Notarial Documents

  • Divorce Certificates

  • Employment References

  • Professional and Final Certificates

  • Diplomas and Academic Transcripts

  • Certificates of Conduct

  • Proof of Qualifications (e.g., Continuing Education and Training Certificates)

  • School Certificates

  • Tax Documents

  • Insurance Documents

  • Recognition of German Citizenship

  • Residence Permits

  • Identity Documents

  • Driver's Licenses

  • Court Judgments

  • Commercial and Business Documents

  • Patents and Copyright Documents

  • Extracts from the Commercial Register

  • Articles of Association

  • Purchase Agreements

  • Certificates of No Impediment / Civil Status Certificates

Patent Translation

The translation of documents in the field of patents is a relatively new area of specialisation for me, one that I have pursued through professional training opportunities provided by the BDÜ and continue to develop through initial projects. As a sworn translator and interpreter, I am well-versed in legal processes. My technical understanding, fascination with innovative technologies, and keen attention to detail enable me to approach this specialised type of text with the necessary care and precision.

A unique type of text

Patent documents are unlike ordinary texts—they follow a highly specific technical and legal writing style. Since there is no unified global patent system, patents must be filed individually in each country where protection is sought, often requiring translation into the respective national language. By contributing to the translation process, I help protect innovative ideas and ensure compliance with the international requirements of patent law.
