About me
"Translation is a discipline I have mastered and approach with joy and utmost care. Interpreting, on the other hand, is my passion — a core part of my identity."
Born in Estonia and raised trilingual in Estonian, Russian, and German in Germany, I have been immersed in multilingualism from an early age. Constantly navigating between languages, cultures, and mentalities shaped my linguistic and cultural diversity, naturally embedding intercultural competence deeply into my personality.
I later acquired additional foreign languages, including English, French, Italian, and Spanish, at a linguistically and musically oriented grammar school in Germany and further developed them through my education and professional career in both Germany and the UK.
Today, as a state-certified translator and interpreter, I specialise in translation and interpreting within the fields of politics, business, and finance.
Interpreting and Specialized Translations for Intercultural Encounters in Business and Politics
As a certified interpreter and translator, my focus is on interpreting and translating in the fields of politics, business, and finance.
Interpreting: Simultaneous interpreting, consecutive interpreting, and liaison interpreting for international conferences, meetings, and panel discussions.
Specialized Translations: Documents, reports, and presentations in the fields of politics, business, and finance.
My working languages
My active working languages are currently:
German
Russian
English
French
To meet the highest quality standards, I follow the principle of working into my native language and primarily translate into German. In the fields of politics, business, and finance, I interpret both into German, Russian, and English..
What does Kompoly stand for?
Kompoly stands for the four pillars of my work: Communication, Competence, Creativity, and Cultural Awareness. The "K" represents not only these core elements (spelled with "K" in German) but also myself, Kristina, behind Kompoly. The "poly" embodies my multilingualism. The similar sound of these concepts reflects my belief that professional translation and interpretation go far beyond mere letters—it's about conveying the message.
