About me.

"Translation is a discipline I have mastered and approach with joy and utmost care. Interpreting, on the other hand, is my passion — a core part of my identity."

Kristina Seuling

My Multicultural Background

Born in Estonia and raised trilingual in Estonian, Russian, and German in Germany, I have been immersed in multilingualism from an early age.  Constantly navigating between languages, cultures, and mentalities shaped my linguistic and cultural diversity, naturally embedding intercultural competence deeply into my personality.

I later acquired additional foreign languages, including English, French, Italian, and Spanish, at a linguistically and musically oriented grammar school in Germany and further developed them through my education and professional career in both Germany and the UK.

My Professional Background

International Sales – Oxford, UK

My first professional role took me to Oxford, England, where I worked in the export sales department of a British manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE). This experience laid the foundation for my deep interest in technology and international business relations. As an Export Sales Executive responsible for sales in the D-A-CH region, Italy, and Eastern Europe (with a focus on Russia and the CIS), I was able to apply my language skills on a daily basis while gaining valuable insights into the economy and the international market structures of leading companies.

Marketing and Communication
In order to balance family and work in the Bamberg region, I took on the role of Head of Marketing and Communications at element-e group AG. In this position, I played a key role in the business development of the first EU Green Building in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) industry. Additionally, I organised both national and international events, such as conferences, trade fairs, and political party congresses. Working closely with companies and political organisations, including regional and federal party conferences, gave me the opportunity to experience business and political developments from a broader perspective.
My Calling: Becoming a Translator and Interpreter

Looking back, my career has played a pivotal role in enabling me to pursue my calling as a translator and interpreter, honing my expertise and specialisation. Exploring new subjects and delving deeply into my areas of focus—an integral part of my work—fuels my curiosity. Breaking down language barriers and connecting people drives me, giving me a sense of purpose and the ability to contribute to society.

My active working languages currently include German (A), Russian (A), English (B), and French (B). I have studied translation as a specialised discipline and approach it with enthusiasm and precision. However, interpreting is my true passion—a core part of my identity that has shaped me since childhood and continues to evolve through my professional experiences.

Currently, I am pursuing an M.A. in Global Management and Communication alongside my professional work. This course combines my love for languages with my interest in global economics, international trade, and corporate communication strategies. It also allows me to directly apply this knowledge to my daily work as a translator and interpreter, particularly in the fields of economics and politics.
